Ancient well near the Church of San Leonardo
Earliest records of the Church of San Leonardo date to 1216.
The church is one of the most important examples of Romanesque architecture in the Siena region.
The monks who founded the church were wool workers. Monte a Follonica means "place where wool is worked."
